Celtic Clash 9 undercard update – Honey Badger added to Belfast card

Eddie Treacy will look to build on his brilliant Waterford display with victory in Belfast next time out.

‘The Honey Badger’ is the latest name added to the latest installment of the Celtic Clash series and will partake in the ninth edition at the Devenish Venue on Saturday October 12th.

The Wicklow fighter joins Sam Carroll as the only boxers added to the card without opponents to be confirmed.

The Bray fighter is certainly up for any challenge, but considering he was in all-Irish action last time out he may be handed journeyman opposition for his second fight under the Boxing Ireland banner.

The ticket seller caught the eye last time out with a brilliant knockout of Cavan’s Owen Duffy and is an exciting addition to what promises to be a stacked card.

Topping the bill will be Commonwealth Games sil medal winner Joe Fitzpatrick as he takes on respected Spaniard Iago Baros. Former Fitzpatrick foe Stephen Webb faces Martin Quinn in another potentially exciting Dublin versus Belfast battle.

Also on the card is a Cork-Antrim cruiserweight clash between Leeside-based Pole Staz Tomasevski and Conor ‘Da Crook’ Cooke.
