Carl Frampton v Nonito Donaire – Undercard RESULTS

There were three wins from three for Irish boxers this evening on the untelevised portion of the undercard of Carl Frampton v Nonito Donaire.

The broadcast on BT Sport and BoxNation begins at 7:30pm (Irish time) but action began back at 4:00pm.

The first fighter of Irish interest was Derry’s Tyrone McCullagh [10(6)-0] – and he stopped durable Nicaraguan Elvis Guillen standing in the third round.

‘White Chocolate’ will now move on to his vacant BBBoC Celtic super bantamweight title fight with Glaswegian Joe Ham on June 30th at the same venue on the Mick Conlan Homecoming undercard.

Marco McCullough [19(11)-4(3)], who was due to face Jono Carroll in one of the chief supports, was also in action in a six-rounder. The Shankill super featherweight dominated Nicaraguan Arnoldo Solano, who was stopped in one by James Tennyson back in February, scoring a 60-53 win.

Finally, there was a stoppage win for Steven Ward [7(3)-0]. The Newtownabbey light heavy, a stablemate of Frampton, stopped Poland’s Michal Ciach in the third round.

There were also wins for English talents Troy Williamson, Ryan Hatton, and Alex Dickinson.
