Carl Frampton features in best of Belfast mural

A new mural dedicated to all things unique about Belfast has been unveiled today in Belfast by boxing hero Carl Frampton.

The artwork on Hill Street has been commissioned by local beer HARP as part of their ‘Pure Here’ campaign, and celebrates the people, landmarks, and humour of the Titanic City.

Created by Dean Kane of Visual Waste – ‘The Banksy of Belfast’ – the mural features ‘The Jackal’ himself alongside Julian Simmons, Colin Murray, and local landmarks such as The Balls on the Falls, Titanic Building, The Big Fish, The Albert Clock, and the H&W cranes.

Frampton, along with UTV presenter Simmons, was in town today to unveil the piece and said that “everybody knows I love Belfast so to be involved with something that’s really positive in the heart of the town, it was a no-brainer for me.”

“HARP’s ‘Pure Here’ is a lot of fun, a really upbeat campaign that’s celebrating lots of great things that are unique to Northern Ireland.”

Frampton, who is set to begin full camp for his next fight soon, will hope to have some good news regarding his opponent in the coming days for the clash which will take place at Windsor Park.
