Carl Frampton destroys Ohara Davies in online exchange

London light welterweight Ohara Davies is a divisive character.

The Matchroom boxer has split opinion over the past year or so with his outspoken views and tweets.

A potential domestic dust-up has recently been brewing between Davies and Josh Taylor, trained by Shane McGuigan, in recent months and talk of a fight stepped up another notch on Friday night.

Scotsman Taylor defended his Commonwealth title in Edinburgh with a sixth round stoppage win over South African Warren Joubert, live on Spike TV.

Soon after this display at the Meadowbank Arena, Davies took to Twitter to call out the London Olympian yet again.

Davies then turned on Taylor’s stablemate, Irish two weight champion Carl Frampton, following a message of support from ‘The Jackal.’

The Belfast man, understandably, did not take too kindly to this, and hit back at the Englishman, mocking his connections to The Only Way is Essex. Davies is close friends with cast member James Argent and is manged by former star of the show Charlie Sims.

Davies then chose to chide Frampton about his recent WBA featherweight title defeat to Leo Santa Cruz, and the subsequent saga surrounding a rematch.

Rather than attack him over the rather disrespectful tweet, Frampton gave this light-hearted response to which Davies had no reply.
