Caoimhin Agyarko secures third fight date

Top prospect Caoimhin Agyarko [2(0)-0] has been handed his first fight date of the new year.

The Frank Warren-promoted Belfast middleweight will return to the ring on Saturday April 13th in London as he looks to continue building promptly.

22-year-old Agyarko has been confirmed for the Queensberry Promotions card at the Wembley Arena which will be shown live on BT Sport.

Former WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders is slated to headline against Serbian Shefat Isufi while heavyweight Daniel Dubois is also down to appear.

The 2018 National Elite champion said that it is “going to be a great night of boxing and I’m looking to put on another masterclass performance.”

Agyarko debuted back in October, jumping straight in at six-round level, and he would rattle off two dominant points wins over solid journeyman opposition.

‘Black Thunder’ has been ticking over in Belfast recently under Dee Walsh but, with a fight date to focus upon, he has returned to the iBox Gym in London to step up preparations.

Agyarko has stated that he wants to move through the levels in 2019, suggesting a possible all-Irish fight by the end of the year.
