Big new knockout bonus bolsters Ireland’s Last Man Standing prize fund

The Ireland’s Last Man Standing competition in Dublin this coming March has been bolstered by the announcement of an additional knockout bonus.

Previously it was known that every knockout in the eight-man single-elimination competition would be rewarded with an extra €1,000 – however, further monetary incentive for stoppages was revealed today at a press conference in Dublin.

It has been confirmed by promoters Assassin and Red Corner that a further €5,000 will be awarded to whoever scores the quickest stoppage on the night in addition to the staple thousand for every knockout.

This brings the potential prize fund for the night up to a whopping €59,000 depending on knockouts – with €47,000 guaranteed.

This will be divided as follows

Winner – €25,000
Winner’s Club – €5,000
Runner-up – €5,000
Runner-up’s Club – €1,000
(x2) Beaten Semi-Finalists – €2,000
(x4) Beaten Quarter-Finalists – €1,000
(x6) Beaten Quarter and Semi-Finalist’s Clubs – €500

The line-up for the March 3rd bill at the National Stadium was unveiled this afternoon, with Alfredo Meli, Roy Sheahan, Henry Coyle, Chris Blaney, Padraig McCrory, Bernard Roe, Thomas Finnegan, and Sean McGlinchey pencilled in to compete.

Tickets for the night cost €35, €50, €65, €80, €120, and €150 and are available from the fighters involved, tickets.ie, and selected Centra and SuperValu stores throughout the country.
