Big Belfast show hit by withdrawals

The big card in Belfast has been hit by the withdrawal of two of the Irish fighters on the bill – including one of the main bouts on the show.

The card at the Titanic Exhibition Centre is set for next Friday [December 7th] but has lost the chief support and another big name.

Lewis Crocker‘s vacant BBBoC Celtic welterweight title fight with Scot Martin Harkin will no longer happen while Derry super bantam Tyrone McCullagh will also not feature.

Belfast banger Crocker [7(6)-0] was due to make a major step-up after just one six rounder to take on unbeaten Harkin [8(2)-0] over ten on the ‘King of the Celts’ card but this will no longer happen.

BBBoC Celtic champion McCullagh [12(6)-0] was expected to feature in a keep-busy having headlined the last Titanic show last month, dominating English champ Josh Kennedy over ten to win the WBO European rankings belt – and he is now #13 in the organisation’s Top 15.

The withdrawals are in addition to the earlier pull-out of Ballymena light middle Steven Donnelly [4(0)-0] who is letting a niggling injury rest ahead of a title charge in 2019.

Remaining on the card is headliner Conrad Cummings who faces Brian Rose, while there is undercard support from Gary Cully, Stevie Collins Jr, Paddy Gallagher, Phil Sutcliffe Jr, Padraig McCrory, Sean McComb, and debutant Stephen Webb.
