Jay Harris v Paddy Barnes Undercard takes shape

The next big bill at the Ulster Hall is already starting to fill up.

Last night it was announced that Belfast flyweight Paddy Barnes will take on European champion Jay Harris at the famous venue on Friday October 11th and today the first four undercard fighters have been confirmed.

It has been announed that Marco McCullough, Sean McComb, Gary Cully, and Lewis Crocker will all feature – with more to be confirmed.

Shankill super feather McCullough [22(12)-4(3)] will be returning to the ring following his statement knockout win over Declan Geraghty in May at the same venue. This followed a dramatic win over Spanish contender Ruddy Encarnacion and another big fight for the 29-year-old would be welcomed.

Turf Lodge light welter McComb [9(4)-0] dominated French hardman Renald Garrido earlier this month and the rapidly-rising ‘Public Nuisance’ is surely in line for a title shot should his recent progression be continued.

Naas lightweight Cully [8(4)-0] is hoping to make a return after suffering a nasty cut on his knuckle in his last outing in March. The Sarto southpaw was due to box in May but the wound reopened and he has been recuperating and building since.

Finally there is Sandy Row welter Crocker [9(6)-0] who is back following a pair of good wins over Juamane Camero and Karim Aliliche on the last two Ulster Hall bills. Now training with Ger McManus and Daniel Anderson, the power puncher will hopefully receive another solid test as he builds towards a title tilt.

Opponents for the quartet will be confirmed in due course.

The card in eight weeks’ time will be streamed live on YouTube and on ESPN+ in America.
