Warrior Waldron expects wins for himself and stable mates
By Jonny Stapelton
JOHN Waldron is predicting a hat trick of wins for local fighters and stable mates Darren Cruise, Michael Waldron and himself tomorrow.
The former light heavyweight champion of Ireland takes on Dubliner Brendan Fitzpatrick in a must win clash for both on the under card of Henry Coyle’s WBF title defence- and is confident he like his gym buddies will emerge victorious.
The Warrior is battling on despite loosing six on the bounce and thinks he could be just one decent win away from another Irish title shot.
“Everything has gone well for this fight training with the brother and Darren under the watchful eye if Finton Glynn our coach. I am looking forward to boxing Brendan I’ve had a few losses, but I hope to get on the wining route again. It’s going be tough. He’s a good come forward fighter and I won’t back up. Something’s got to give! A win here can open doors to Irish title shots. I might even drop to super middle you never know. But I’m not looking past this weekend. I have no doubts myself Michael and Darren can come away with wins”
