WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8

2pm: SILVER MEDAL: 60kg Women’s semi finals. Katie Taylor beat Mavzuna Chorieva of Tajikistan 17-9. The Tajik, who Taylor beat 16-6 in the semi-finals of the AIBA World Championships in China earlier this year, eliminated a subdued looking Dong Cheng of China on Monday. Taylor is now through to the Olympic Finals, Thursday August 9th at 4pm
8.30pm: 49kg Quarter Finals – Paddy Barnes will be up against Devendro Singh Laishram of India. Barnes and Laishram sparred when the IABA hosted India at a training camp at the National Stadium in Dublin last month. The winner of this fight is guaranteed at least a Bronze Medal.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 9 WOMEN’S FINAL

4pm: 60kg Women’s Final. Katie Taylor has made history by winning her way to the final’s of the first Women’s boxing ever held in the Olympics. Katie will face Sofya Ochigava (Russia) where Katie will battle it out for a Gold Medal.

1.30pm: 49kg Mens Semi Final – Paddy Barnes group
2pm: 56kg Mens Semi Final – John Joe Nevin faces Lazaro Alvarez Estrada of Cuba. Nevin, a two-time AIBA World medalist, and now an Olympic Bronze Medalist,will meet the current AIBA World champion in the semi-finals today. It promises to be a battle Royale between two of the most stylist and talented bantamweights in the world. The winner of this bout will be guaranteed at least a Silver Medal.

8.45pm: Michael Conlan won 19-8 at his eagerly anticipated Olympic debut at the ExCel in London tonight versus Ghanaian Duke Akeuth Micah.
9.45pm: Adam Nolan lost 18-9 against Russian Andrey Zamkovoy. Adam, who along with Katie Taylor is one of two Bray BC athletes at London 2012.

2pm: Paddy Barnes won 15-10 when he opened his account at the 2012 Olympics versus the experienced Thomas Essomba of Cameroon on Saturday.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 5

2.30pm: Potential opponents of Bray BC’s Katie Taylor, Natasha Jonas (Team GB) and Queen Underwood (USA) battled it out on Sunday, the winner Jonas of Team GB scoring 21-13 over Underwood. Jonas will face World Number 1 Katie Taylor on Monday the 6th.
8.45pm: MEDAL NO #1: John Joe Nevin wins an Olympic Bronze Medal with a fantastic 19-13 win over Mexico’s Oscar Fierro Valdez in the quarter-finals. Valdez is the 2008 AIBA World Youth Champion. Nevin is through to the Semi Finals on Friday 8th August (see details below).
MONDAY, AUGUST 6

2.30pm: MEDAL NO #2: Bray BC’s Katie Taylor makes history by being the first Irish Female boxer in the Olympics AND won at least a Bronze Medal with a 26-15 win against Natasha Jonas of Great Britain. This was a repeat of the 2011 Strandja Memorial Tournament duel which Taylor won 6-3 in Bulgaria. The winner of this match is guaranteed at least a Bronze Medal.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 7

9.00pm : MEDAL NO #3: Michael Conlan wins 22-18 over Nordine Oubaali of France in a repeat of their 2011 AIBA World Championships clash which the Irish Elite champion won 20-17 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Michael guaranteed Ireland a Bronze medal with this victory. Ouballi, who was also beaten by Conlan (18-16) in a Round Robin in France this summer, edged out (19-18) 2007 AIBA World champion Raushee Warren (USA).
