SOME IRISH fight fans feel aggrieved that they have been denied a chance to show their appreciation and gratitude to their Olympic boxing hero’s.

Somehow the powers that be failed to organise a Civil Reception or of Official Homecoming for a team that equaled the countries best ever medal haul.

We would also like give our readers a platform to express their graduate on a site that is visited by boxers, pundits and fans alike.

Let Team Ireland and our brilliant boxers Katie Taylor, Darren O’Neill, Adam Nolan, Paddy Barnes, John Joe Nevin and Michael Conlan how you felt about their brilliant performance in London 2012.

If the powers that be won’t give you a voice we will- LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW

Congratulations to all the Irish Athletic Hero’s. Even my non Irish friends and coworkers knew about how great Ireland did in these Olympics. Even though NBC showed very little of the smaller countries and sports. Look forward to seeing all of you in Rio. Don’t worry about you not having a big welcome in Dublin our American Olympic Athletes don’t get a hero’s welcome either. It was great fun following all of you on twitter and I’ll leave a thank you on all of your twitter pages.

  21. marty duncan says:

well done 2 all the irish boxers we are so proud of all of you. Dont give the penny pinching plonkers a thought the irish people will show u what you havedone for this country. Your an inspiration to all young people in this country and lets hope this pulls out all the other hidden talent we have.

  22. Gerard Diver says:

Without boxing at the Olympics I would have minimal interest in it. The unbelievable bonus is that we have an absolute smashing team that more than done us proud. The work rate in and out of the gym these guys put in to represent there country on the biggest sporting stage in the world is immense. Yet our, their country will not recognize their achievements by holding a proper homecoming ceremony. This country has lost the plot. I will be sending an E/M to the sports minister in the North asking what if any has been arranged for all of Ireland team. Finally a massive thank you to all of Team Ireland for doing all of us proud.
