Pajkic accuses Team Fury of poisoning him ahead heavyweight clash
NEVAN Pajkic has accused Team Tyson Fury off poisoning him ahead of his Manchester hosted clash with the former Irish Champion late last year.
The Canadian heavyweight made the astonishing yet improvable accusation in an Interview with BoxingInsider.com.
Pajkic believes his post weigh in meal was tampered with and inspired a bout of food poisoning the night before the biggest fight in his career.
The previously unbeaten fighter ordered room service on the eve of the Channel 5 hosted clash and stressed the delivered meal resulted in a host of problems. Rather than put it down to poor cooking or any number of potential food related failings Pajkic is adamant Team Fury tampered with his food.
As a result of 30 toilet trips and a lack of sleep Pajkic claims he made the trip to the ring at 25 percent capacity. The Canadian had Fury on the canvas in round two before being stopped by the Irish big man in the third.
“I made biggest mistake having a meal in the hotel night before the fight,” Pajkic is qouted as saying on what is a biased piece on BoxingInsider.“I had cold sweats all night and [diarrhea] all night long — I didn’t sleep a wink! 30 times on the toilet!”
“They did it, I know,” Pajkic says of Fury’s camp, who he also claimed were alarmed when he showed up for the fight in good condition.“I didn’t cover all the aspects of the game. It’s my fault — I learned the hard way. Next time I cook my own food.”
