Ochigava cries foul after loosing to Taylor in Olympic final

Defeated Olympic finalist Sofya Ochigava cried foul after her loosing out to Katie Taylor in the Gold medal fight.
The Russian, who lost to 10-8 to Taylor in an a lightweight final that has made Taylor a boxing heavyweight around the world, bemoaned Taylor favouritism before the decider was at it again after he reverse.

The talented counter puncher claims the judges ‘tried their best’ to ensure the greatest female boxer on the planet was afforded London Olympic Gold.

“As usual they tried their best to let the Irish win,” she told reporters, “the judges as usual corrected the scores in her favour just as they did during the world championships to let Katie win,” Ochigava told reporters through a translator. “What can I say now?”

    Suppose Irish Boxing holds so much sway over all judges!! Wise up. Katie won fair and square. I’m still a bit miffed over Barnes defeat to Shimazu. I thought Paddy had that won by two points. Even John Joe Nevins fight could face the wrath of serious scrutiny. But sure, moaning about it after gets you nothing but vailed sympathy. Do it when it matters!

    Both fights were extremely close but Katie defo one both of them.Sofya needs to just accept that the better fighter won. There were a couple of dubious decisions at the games but this certainly was not one of them.
