Martinez In Argentina for Lee if he wins?
IF Andy Lee emerges unscathed from a hostile Sun Bowl World title fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr tomorrow night he faces a trip to Argentina and a fight with Sergio Martinez latter in the year.
A bout with the greatest middleweight on the planet and the pound for pound number 3 and not just the WBC world middleweight title are on the line against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in El Paso Saturday.
Martinez, who defeated Matthew Macklin in September, is signed to fight the winner of the Mexico v Ireland world title dust up and his advisor Sampson Lewkowicz said if the Limerick man does emerge victorious he wants to take him to Argentina.
Lewkowicz also believes The Kronk southpaw chances of winning are high.
Speaking to boxingscene Lewkowicz said
“Keep in mind Andy Lee comes to fight and he does have a good chance to win the fight. If Lee wins the fight we would like to make that fight with Sergio Martinez in Argentina. Martinez will sell out any where in the country. Martinez will fight the winner of Chavez Jr Lee in September, but the actual date isn’t the most important thing. The fight could happen in October or November as we need enough time to promote the event.”
