DiBella Lee should fight with his head not his heart
ANDY Lee should employ a brain rather than brawn approach if he wants to win a world title, according to his promoter Lou DiBella.
The New York promoter watched ring side as the Irish middleweight was eventually bull dozed down by a relentless Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in an exciting WBC middleweight world title fight on Saturday night.
DiBella, who also looks after the career of Lee’s fellow Irish middleweight Matthew Macklin, was adamant there are still plenty of fights for his man in the middleweight division.
However, the DBE boss believes Lee need’s to take a head over heart approach into future fights. ”Andy fought well when he fought from a distance, and I had him up 4-2 like all the judges did,” said Lee’s promoter Lou DiBella afterwards.
“But I’ve always said this, and I said this before the fight, sometimes Andy’s problem is that his heart overcomes his brain and he wants to stand there and trade, and he traded with a much bigger and stronger guy.”
