Chavez Jr fails to give urine sample for drug test

JULIO Cesar Chavez Jr left the Sun Bowl El Paso with the WBC middleweight title firmly fastened around his waist and a smile on his face, but exited stage left with out giving a urine sample.

The Mexican looked set to silence the doubters with a terrific display, but was apparently unable to give a urine sample for a drugs test after the bout.

The World champions impressive performance against the talented Limerick fighter left his critics will little ammunition to fire his way. However, the fact he once again couldn’t provide a urine sample post fight will enable said critics to reload and fire questions once again.
The Mexican, who is rumored to have put on in excess of a stone between the weigh in and glove off, also neglected to give a mandatory urine sample when he successfully defended his title against Marco Antonio Rubio in February.

After the bout the son of boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez claimed that Lee failed to hurt him.

“I wanted to see if he had any power. I saw he didn’t have anything. He never hurt me. He gave me everything he had, but he couldn’t do anything to me,” Chavez said.
