Tyrone McKenna to turn pro
Tyrone McKenna looks set to be the latest talented Belfast fighter to ditch the vest and head gear, as he heads to America on June 6 to sign pro.
The Oliver Plunket fighter won bronze in the Junior Olympics, seven Irish titles at various levels and is an Ulster senior Champion, but like former Olympic Youth gold medallist Ryan Burnett has elected to go pro in an Olympic year.
McKenna will sign with a yet to be named American based promoter next month.
