Hyland wins via TKO and targets big fights
PATRICK Hyland says he is ready for any of the super featherweight big names after extending his unbeaten record to 26 fights without defeat on Saturday night.
The Punisher brushed aside Frankie Archuleta at Mid-Hudson Civic Centre, Poughkeepsie in just four rounds. The middle of three champion boxing brothers had the Mexican tough man down in rounds one and three before the referee was forced to call a halt to proceedings in the fourth stanza.
The Tallaght prospect is now looking to secure a title shot and wants to become as big in boxing as his promoter ‘Snooki’ is in the world of American celebrity.
Speaking after the fight the Tracey Patterson trained fighter said
“It was a good fight but I could have done a little better. He’s a tough guy who hit me with a couple of good shots. I got him with some good shots in the fourth when it was stopped… I’m ready for anybody at 126 pounds.”
