McCloskey,Prizefighter eight and Sky decend on Giants Causeway
Paul McCloskey could take a significant step towards a world title shot by defeating DeMarcos Corley on May 5- and one of eight Irish fighters will certainly make a sizeable leap into the European middleweight scene by claiming Prizefighter glory on the same night.
So it seems fitting the Giant’s Causeway will prove the venue for today’s SKY Sports video shoot.
It might not be quite as explosive as the ancient volcano that caused the structure, which legend suggests Irish warrior Fionn mac Cumhaill built to walk to Scotland to fight his Scottish counterpart Benandonner.
However the shoot should prove an entertaining sceptical and precursor to next month’s King’s Hall showpiece.
All local fight fans are invited to attend with the boxers expected to arrive at the Giant’s Causeway at 10.am this morning.
Tickets are priced at £30 (unreserved), £40 (reserved balcony or unreserved floor), £60 (outer-ringside) and £100 (ringside) are available from Ticketmaster on 0844 277 4455 – UK/Northern Ireland customers, 0818 719 300 – Republic of Ireland customers and at
