Prizefightercontestant Healy: There is Bite in the Old Dog yet!

Ciaran Healy has warned his fellow Irish Prizefighter contestants not to underestimate him because there is life -and indeed bite in the old dog yet!

The 37 year old veteran has been called in to replace young pretender Mark Hefferon after the NowWhere2Hyde fighter pulled out due to injury and insists he is not just entering the all action tournament to make up the numbers.

Irish boxing’s Renaissance man is planning a last master piece before hanging up his gloves latter in the year. The fighter who has flirted with a career Indian summer plans to ride of into the sunset with a Prizefighter win.

The Belfast fighter thinks the all action nature of the tournament will suit his abrasive style and the fighter with proven one punch knock out power warned his counterparts to not to take him lightly.

“I’m over the moon,“ Healy told www.irish-boxing.com “This is what I always wanted to do from when I was a sub on the first middleweight Prizefighter.  It is great it is at my natural weight. I have been training harder than ever and I will make the weight no problem. The all action toe to toe is what I like and will suit me. Anything can happen in Prizefighter so don’t rule out the old dog yet. This dog has plenty of bite left. I just want to say a big thank you to Pat Magee for doing the hard work getting me on the show.”
