David Oliver Joyce’s Olympic Dream over
David Oliver Joyce fell at the last hurdle and failed to secure passage to London 2012 this morning.
The St Michael’s club man’s Olympic dream is over after he lost 19-10 to Evaldas Petrauskas in the quarter finals of the final qualifiers for the prestigious games.
‘DOJ’ found himself 6-3 down after an exciting opener. He put plenty in to the second round, but failed to land enough telling shots to prevent him trailing 13-6 after the second stanza.
The beaten National Senior Finalist scored four shots in the last round but will not be going to the Olympics after he eventually lost by a nine point margin.
