Colan fighting for Matchroom deal and possible title shot
Jamie Conlan is fighting for a three fight Matchroom deal when he competes on a fight night that is certainly fit for the Kings Hall on May 5.
The Belfast prospect has struggled to get a title shot he feels he deserves over the last 12 months-and hopes signing professional terms with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom will be the catalyst that see’s him progress to British and Commonwealth title fights in the next few months.
Speaking on Irish Boxing Radio, Ireland’s only dedicated boxing radio hour, the fighter with ambitions of the being Lord of the Flys, revealed he intends to become a part of the growing Matchroom Irish stable.
He also revealed news of a possible title fight in the Autumn and discussed sparring his Olympic bound brother Michael.
