Mac Man Returns to winning ways
Martin Lindsay ended a 15 month exile from the ring with a shut out victory on a HardKnocks show in London on Saturday.
It was a successful return of ‘The Mac Man’ as he beat Maurycy Gojkp by a referee’s score of 60-54 at the Troxy.
The Belfast fighter hadn’t previously traded leather since December 2010, but is hoping for a more active 2012.
“It’s just good to get six rounds under my belt and I got the win which is the main thing.
“I just wanted to get some ring time and I got that. I wanted to go out there and box and if the stoppage came, it came. If it didn’t I got a few rounds in,” Lindsay said of the Setanta Sports broadcast bout.
“I didn’t take any risks. I just boxed him and hit him with counter punches. I am now looking forward to fighting in the King’s Hall on May 5. It’s just great to be back after being out for a while

Great night of boxing and great performance by Martin, the guy must still be sore. I was ringside and apparently you could hear the shots at the back of the hall, fierce. Roll on the 5th of May.
